Gil Scott-Heron Tribute: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

June 3, 2011

Poet, Musician, and Author Gil Scott-Heron sadly passed away on Friday, May 27th. On tonight’s Space Capsule, the revolution will truly not be televised, as we pay tribute over the radio airwaves to Gil Scott-Heron by playing several selections of his work, plus a few by related artists. His poetry and songs can be serious or humorous or both at the same time, yet they always have a message of awareness that can be related to somehow, no matter who you are or where you are from.

Dig the grooves on the Space Capsule beginning at 11pm CT on 91.3 KVLU or stream live at kvlu.org.

There’s an earlier Space Capsule post that presents some more information about Gil here…
